Something New

Hello everyone, just thought I'd let you know that I've joined Village Idiot Scans as a translator-in-training.  I'm currently working on chapters from Iketeru Futari, though I certainly don't plan to finish this 30-vol series.  No, mostly here for the learning and networking. The series itself lives up to its "smut" classification.  Though, not having to do the typesetting/cleaning is a refreshing change as quality goes up while the work goes down.

A rumor suggesting a Tokyo ESP anime started about a week ago. The sources all point to here, which is an announcement of a Tokyo Ravens anime, the manga series I was hoping to do for VI. Though this blog managed to catch something a bit more convincing, I'm not going to count on it.

    Sorry for bothering you with my request but I wanted to ask if you're interested in another manga translation project from Chinese...
    This manga is called "Gakkou Gurashi!" (from one of the Nitro+ scenario writers) from the Manga Kirara Forward magasine and is translated to Chinese by the SOSG team. Well, if you're interested I can upload all the 12 chapters. Here's the link for the 1st one:

      That's some really clear typesetting there.
      Read/wrote down that first chapter.
      I'd be interested in reading more.
      Is it finished at 12 chapters?

      No it's still ongoing in monthly magazine Manga Kirara Forward. I've already uploaded other chapters here:

      Sorry for bothering you again but I just wanted to know if you're interesting in working on this series or not.
      P.S.: 13 chapter is out in Japanese, I guess they'll translate it into Chinese in the next weeks.

      Of course! I haven't read your Tokyo ESP translations yet (just downloaded not so much time ago and planning to start tomorrow) but I think that you did great job with bringing it to English speaking readers.
      So if you're actually interested I'll be very glad to see this manga translated (also I can send a link to the next chapter when it will be translated in Chinese - I think it will be around the middle of this month). And I think people will like to see this manga translated and also more of your works.

      Sorry for dragging it out this long, but I don't think I'll be picking up this series, since I'll be picking ESP back up fairly soon and am already working on IF for Village Idiot.

      This seems to be a good series though, and I like its tone. I'll keep it as a series I'd like to pick up, but I don't expect to any time soon.

      OK, thank you for at least giving a clear answer. Still it's quite a shame, I don't know chinese (and sadly I could find the first 6 chapters only in this language) and also I don't know any other chinese translators so I guess I'll just keep the RAWs up on jcafe in case any other translator will try to do the series.

    Well, just had a bit of trouble downloading that file. That download site is a bit more mazework than I'd like to deal with. No matter, managed to get the file eventually.

    Could you please hurry with the tranlation of tokyo esp... cause I cant wait for the next chapter... but thank you for translating this manga.... without you, I will not find this amazing manga

      Look, I've said it before that I don't have any chapters available in a language I can read(with aid), there are more chapters out in Japanese at the moment, so if some other group wants to take the series, they are welcome to.
      However, I hope and expect that Kadowaka Taiwan will release volume 7 sometime around late July/early August, and if the series hasn't been picked up by then, I may very well end up buying it.
