ESP 30

ESP 30 is out.
Link to VI post
Still no word of volume 8, but I suspect/hope I'll have it late February or so. The Tokyo ESP anime has been confirmed for 2014, which while not really any new information, is a nice confirmation that it is on its way.

Chang Ge Xing and Impending ESP

Hello.
First off, chapter 28 of Tokyo ESP is done. Village Idiot should be releasing the chapter shortly. Also, chapter 29 has been proofread, meaning we have found a proofreader for this series.  We still need a typesetter for this series, so go over to Village Idiot to apply.

Author being a bit of a jerk in this chapter, bringing up Rinka and Azuma only in flashbacks to things we've already seen... Also, good to see that Tokyo ESP hasn't forgotten what it's about. (cameos!)

or two "Black Fists"?
This is Guilty Crown, it had a refrigerator too.
But does it have a penguin that eats fish?

In other manga, Chang Ge Xing has been picked up quite recently and rabidly, with chapters sometimes coming out at a rate of 3 or 4 a day. Like Tokyo ESP, it features a strong female lead, and Changge is quite fun to root for during her quest for power.  Unlike Tokyo ESP, it is set in Tang Dynasty China.  I had hoped that this series would get scanlated ever since I started reading it last fall. And now it has.

We're doing this (we're making it happen)

Heyo everyone,
ESP 7 finally arrived, so we can finally get this process started.  That's 27 days after I ordered from YesAsia.  As such, I don't expect to have the next chapter ready by the 10th.  I have a mere three chapters between now and February to do, which I find kind of sad.  This time we'll have nice typesetting courtesy of Twin Dragon or Village Idiot, time will tell...

In other news, please refrain from "Rinka/Azuma in [untranslated chapter XX] does YY". Everyone already misses them, but spoilers are still spoilers.  Zeusu looks like a pretty cool guy from what I can see, so give him a chance, even if the new girl seems strangely already over-powered. (what's with that...)

Ordered!

Yay! I've ordered vol 7 of Tokyo ESP, it's expected to take 1-2 weeks for shipping, since I'm too cheap to pay for express shipping. But yeah, it's on its way.

In other news, I'd like to point out properly that a certain anon has picked up "Freeloading at School", which makes me happy, because they are doing a better job at it than I would have been doing.  Reading through the chapter pointed out so many names I had gotten wrong, so many details not quite right.  I've only read through the first two chapters, but the series seems promising...

Still translating Iketeru Futari, currently working on chapter 56 of 3 bajillion. IF updates will probably continue being unpredictable for a while.

ESP vol 7... in 2 months

Good News, Everyone!
Volume 7 of Tokyo ESP is now up for pre-order from Kadokawa Taiwan and is set to be released mid-July of this year.  While I will not be getting it directly from Kadokawa, I suspect that this is where yesasia is getting it from, and they should have it shortly after.

So yeah, I should have a chapter 28 out sometime this August. But other groups are still welcome to beat me to it.

In other news, I really wish that whoever scanned the print of Iketeru Futari I'm reading bothered to debind the pages.  Words just get lost in the fold.

Something New

Hello everyone, just thought I'd let you know that I've joined Village Idiot Scans as a translator-in-training.  I'm currently working on chapters from Iketeru Futari, though I certainly don't plan to finish this 30-vol series.  No, mostly here for the learning and networking. The series itself lives up to its "smut" classification.  Though, not having to do the typesetting/cleaning is a refreshing change as quality goes up while the work goes down.

A rumor suggesting a Tokyo ESP anime started about a week ago. The sources all point to here, which is an announcement of a Tokyo Ravens anime, the manga series I was hoping to do for VI. Though this blog managed to catch something a bit more convincing, I'm not going to count on it.
